Lopez, Not Damon, Should Be Tigers Target

So now that the Yankees have spurned Johnny Damon by signing Randy Winn, the Tigers are said to be where Damon wants to play in 2010. Satan’s Minion, Scott Boras, who represents Damon, recently spoke to the Detroit News about a conversation he had with his client back in December.

Tigers Need Upgrade at Short

There is a lot of talk about whether or not Detroit should try to bring Placido Polanco back for another season at second base.  Regardless of what they decide to do, and I’ll bet that Polly is playing elsewhere in 2010, the best area for potential upgrade is at shortstop.
